Week 7 of WEAAD Myths and Facts: Stalking in Later Life

Why it mattersStalking in later life is often overlooked — and myths are a big reason why.

Many people think stalking only happens to younger adults or that older adults are less harmed. These misconceptions make it harder to recognize the warning signs and leave older victims without the support they deserve.

NCALL is working to change that. In partnership with the Stalking Prevention and Awareness Resource Center, we’re leading national efforts to shine a light on stalking in later life and correct the myths that put older adults at risk. We’ve developed practical resources and trainings to help professionals identify stalking, understand its impact, and respond in ways that protect and support older victims.

We need your help as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day approaches.

Head over to our WEAAD Myths vs Facts webpage or find us on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn to access all of this week’s myths and facts!

Together, we can ensure older adults are seen, believed, and supported.
