Systemic, institutional, and historical oppressions and related trauma can have a cumulative and detrimental impact on the ability of older survivors from marginalized communities to access healing services and just outcomes. This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, NCALL joins countless other individuals, communities, and organizations in revisiting and reaffirming what we can do to end gender-based violence. #1Thing we must all do is examine how domestic violence is inextricably linked to all forms of violence. To end domestic violence, we must dismantle anti-Blackness, other types of racism, discrimination, and structures that perpetuate oppression. Join the conversation with your peers in the field who are building knowledge on issues related to older victims of crime and abuse.
