Join NCALL for our first online forum chat!

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many aspects of daily life and has had a tremendous impact on the capacity of older victims to access effective healing supports and services. Older adults from marginalized communities have been especially affected by this public health crisis and the omnipresent institutional barriers like racism, ageism, ableism, and xenophobia, which inhibit their ability to be healthy, safe, and supported. In this incredibly challenging time, the work of educators and trainers working to enhance services and supports for older adults is critically important.

Join NCALL on August 27th for an online chat on the Older Victims of Crime Trainers and Educators Forum to discuss these and other challenges and the importance of working together to learn from each other, share educational and training resources, and make connections on training topics impacting older crime victims.

Throughout the day, NCALL staff will be available for virtual office hours on the forum to offer technical assistance and consultation. You’ll have a chance to connect directly with Juanita Davis, Associate Director; Ann Turner, Advocacy Coordinator; Sara Mayer, Communications Coordinator; and Katie Block, NRC Project Coordinator.

Feel free to check in at any time to join these conversations.
