Working with Victims Who Are Blind
The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) provides advocacy, education, research, technology, and programs encouraging independence and self-confidence for individuals who are blind. Senior citizens disproportionately experience severe loss of their eyesight, often resulting in blindness or visual impairment. Macular degeneration and diabetes are two of the leading causes of vision loss among this population. The NFB website provides information and resources for senior citizens and those who work with them.
