Request for Proposals:  National Institute on the Prosecution of Elder Abuse (NIPEA) Curriculum Revision Project Coordinator

The National Institute on the Prosecution of Elder Abuse (NIPEA) is an interactive, problem-based three and one half day training event for prosecutors. In additional to teaching practical prosecution skills, this Institute engages the hearts and minds of prosecutors so that they will return to their local communities motivated to and capable of effectively prosecuting elder abuse cases. As a result of this training, the participants will be better able to:

  • Use medical, cognitive and financial evidence and experts in elder abuse cases
  • Identify and understand factors and dynamics that influence elder abuse prosecutions
  • Identify and work with other professionals who can assist with these cases
  • Prosecute elder abuse cases using an offender-focused/victim-centered approach.

The anticipated timeline for completing this project is August 1, 2018 – April 30, 2020.
